The silkscreen printing is the most traditional form of garment printing, with this technique we achieve the highest quality results in t-shirt printing, bag printing or other garment printing. So, this is the most suitable for long runs to cover the initial costs of screens. The Sik screen printing is a very popular and economical method for creating large quantities of customized clothing such as shirts or sweatshirts.
This is also a good option to customize t-shirts and bags. In Silk Screen Printing colored garments require white ink base layer to ensure that the design obtains a good stamping quality.
THE CLASSIC AMONG THE PRINTING PROCESSES
Screen printing is still the most widely used method for textile printing on t-shirts, polo shirts, sweatshirts, or cotton bags. Although technology in the field of DTG printing continues to progress, screen printing is the most proven finishing process for cost-effective, professional and extremely durable prints. High wash resistance, color brilliance, and comfort characterize it.
Screen printing can print on almost any textile. With our modern screen printing machines and printing inks, which meet the Oeko-Tex® Standard 100 Class 1, we can make multicolored designs with up to 4-5 colors.
For medium to high runs, screen printing is superior to all other procedures in terms of setup cost, print quality, and durability. So this process is especially popular with advertising agencies, events, textile designers or merchandisers.
Please also note two factors cost saving:
1. The larger your print run per design, the lower the single price
2. The more colors your design contains, the higher the price per unit
TECHNICAL INFORMATION FOR CUSTOMERS :
Silk Screen printing means quality and durability.
Ideal for large volume orders.
It adapts better to logos or designs with flat inks instead of photographs or printed in full color with gradients.
Maximum printing area: WIDTH 12 x HIGH 12 inch. (Large prints available at an additional cost, please contact us). A separate screen is required for each color of the design. So, the fewer colors in your logo mean, minus the costs ($30 each).
Recommended formats for designing and sending files:
Illustrations in vector (Ai, EPS, PDF), with fonts and lines drawn.
Minimum order quantity: 12 pieces
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO KEEP IN MIND WHEN PRINTING YOUR DESIGN?
The maximum print size of the silk screen printing film is 15x 18 inches. This means that such pressure on fabric is not always applicable.
In case of uncertainty of determining the desired print size on the fabric, you are welcome to contact us at our Los Angeles based Silk Screen printing shop.
Please also note that the print size is not variable for different clothing sizes. If your an S size T-shirt in with a print width of 10-inch “fabric filling” is the subject with the same print size on an XXL T-shirt is naturally smaller.
This is associated with additional costs (for the creation of the screen printing films and screens), since now for each quantity of color a screen must be created.

SCREEN PRINTING PROCESS:
The silkscreen printing process looks quite complicated to explain so, we will help with images.
The 3 main elements involved in this process are the films or transparencies, the printing frames and the inks that we call technical costs together. As the colors of the drawing increase, the above components will increase and the technical costs will increase.
The silkscreen printing process begins with the creation of films or transparencies. We separate your designs by color and from each of these we print, with a special high-definition plotter. In this way, we will have the basis for the print frames for each color. This is a delicate process and one needs great experience to obtain high-quality frames. If the film is not precise or sufficiently detailed, it will compromise the quality of the print. It is essential that the dye is completely opaque because it does not le
